This is what I’ve been working on since Thanksgiving weekend, knitting-wise. My goal is to get it finished as fast as I can, so I can start on a swatch cap for the Saddle-Shoulder Aran Cardigan, which looks like it’s going to be a lot of fun. (Terrifying fun, because I have never knit anything with a steek before, but fun.) Anyway. My mother requested a knit throw pillow for Christmas this year, based off of something she saw in a store that she thought was nice, which she figured I could totally reverse-engineer.

So we sat down together over the holiday weekend, and I drew some pictures and took her to the yarn store and made her squish various kinds of yarn and pick out a colour she liked, and now all that’s left to do is knit it up. I think it’s going to end up looking pretty cute when I’m done.
