This latest project definitely falls into the category of “fun to knit, boring to photograph,” and I apologize. This is yet more knitting for my family – my dad is turning 60 at the end of the month, and after sitting down with him and asking him what he wanted me to knit him for the special occasion, he decided on a hat. So we went through Ravelry together, and I picked out a few candidates, and he decided to go with this one.

The pattern is “That Chocolate’s Gone Straight to Your Ribs Hat” (Ravelry), and it is almost but not quite the most boring hat my dad could possibly have requested. (It’s K4p2K2p2 rib, instead of plain old k2p2. That is crazy.) Still, it’s knitting up very quickly, and I’m sure he’ll like it – which is the important thing.
