or do you take pride in being an insufferable know-it-all?

Right now, my thinking project is my Shetland Lace Shawl, which is on hold for a week or so while I focus on a mindless project that should be very familiar to a lot of people.
This is actually my first for-reals commissioned work – a scarf in Gryffindor house colours. (For the record, Recipient: the real scarf is slightly less yellow than it looks in these photos; I took them at night.) It’s knit in a tube, so the entire project is mindless stockinette, and it’s actually turning out to be the perfect project to knit during lectures, because I barely have to think about anything while I work at it.

I just saw those awesome red Keep Calm mugs at Indigo last night- I’m so jealous!! congrats on the knitting commission!!
I pretty much work the same way but right now my mindless project is a sweater for Greg (Smokin’) and I’m suspiciously eyeing my thinking project as it sits in the corner – the placket/yolk shaping and hood of Green Gables.
Do you think the dust bunnies in the corner can finish this up for me?
