Dinner – this is Spicy Arabian Chicken with Couscous from What’s For Lunch Honey?, which is fast becoming one of my favourite places to look online for Indian and Middle Eastern recipes. Everything I try is consistently delicious, even when I end up substituting half the ingredients based on what I can find at the grocery store closest to my house. Nom nom nom.

Thanks for bearing with me over the short, totally unplanned (lazy) break I took from blogging when I went back to visit my parents over the holidays – don’t worry, I didn’t get much crafting done while I was there, anyway.
To start off the new year, a new picture of some new (to me) cookies – Peppermint Chocolate Cookies, discovered at penniesonaplatter via foodgawker. These were delicious – although I didn’t realize until after I’d baked them and tried one, they really are peppermint chocolate shortbread. Still. Wonderfully pretty to look at, and a surprising amount of fun to bake.

The beginnings of chocolate peanut butter balls, made from a totally top-secret recipe last weekend. You sort of have to close your eyes and forget what’s in these (which is mostly peanut butter, butter, and sugar), but oh my god are they delicious.
