I found this piece of – what are we going to call it, art? – in the half-price Christmas decorations section of The Bay, on Bloor and Yonge. Just look at it. Ponder it. Feel how it says to you, “Christmas.”

Tragically, it was not for sale. I checked.

The rubber duck pond on Ryerson campus, taken during Nuit Blanche 2008. (The pond is not usually filled with rubber ducks. That is why it is art.) I sort of agree with Torontoist, in that I found the actually delivery of the promised “free, all-night art thing” to be a little disappointing. But I enjoyed wandering downtown socializing and taking pictures, so the night wasn’t entirely a lost cause.
