here and now, it's time for celebration

You guys have no idea how much self-control it took to not title this post “suck it, universe.” I am sort-of mostly almost done-ish! This sweater, as you probably don’t recall, involves a series of steps:

1. Knit the body.
2. Knit the first sleeve.
3. Knit the other sleeve.
4. Knit the yoke.
5. Steek.
6. Knit the button bands and collar.

And, as these pictures indicate, I have totally done the first three steps. These are the ones with all the jillions of stitches, and the infinite sheepsfold cable repeats (which I kind of love, but that’s not going to stop me from complaining about how arduous it was during my moment of near-achievement.) and most of the work. I may not actually get to steeking this sweater before NaKniSweMo officially closes, but if I can get to the steek by then, I think I’ll feel like I’ve finished, anyway.
