To understand these photos, you first have to understand that there is exactly one recipe for chocolate-chip cookies in the world, and that is the one my mom uses. She didn’t invent it – I believe she got it from my aunt – but it’s how cookies have always been made in my house, and it is very, very important. Like, I knew how to make these cookies before I was allowed to make Kraft Dinner by myself.
Cookies made from any other recipe are just not real cookies.
