Today is December 12.

I am currently knitting, but only gifts – and while I’m like 99% sure that the recipients don’t read this blog, it would be a shame if I was wrong and they did. So, I’m going to have to wait until this date to post about everything I’ve made.

I think, though, that after this date, I’ll have a little more time on my hands.

That’s when school break starts, and I go home for Christmas. In the meantime, I’ll be curling up with my notes, and maybe some of this.

(This post is brought to you by the fact that my mother still sends me an advent calendar every December, even though I’m twenty-three. It’s totally cool to be jealous.)

Even though it’s not Christmas, it’s still winter, and one of my favourite things about the season will still be around for a good while – snow. Tall grass and winter weather, taken in Calgary near the elementary school I used to go to.

We had our first snow of the year, the other day.
Since I love winter more than pretty much any other season (ice skating! Hot chocolate! Warm woolen mittens! Snow! Lights! Holidays!), I basically walked around all day saying, “GUESS WHAT? IT’S SNOWING, ISN’T THAT THE GREATEST?” It was awesome.
The photos are a little dark, but that’s actually how they’re supposed to be – I took them around sunrise, just before I left the house for school.
